My Studio Environments lets an organization reap the benefits
of a satisfied and effective work force. It fosters comfort,
well-being, and productivity in personal, human-scaled offices
where people control their own privacy, their connection with
others, and the direction they face. This unique package of
capabilities helps organizations attract and keep in-demand
knowledge workers that drive growth and innovation.

The My Studio design was driven by four primary concepts
so that it offers a unique, innovative set of capabilities
unmatched by traditional systems products. These concepts
are called Vanishing Point, About Face, Zone Logic, and Permeable
Privacy.
Vanishing Point. With curved and open corners, translucent
materials, and floating walls, the Vanishing Point design
of My Studio Environments makes a space feel larger and more
inviting, creating a sense of freedom and comfort.
About Face. My Studio's cockpit-shaped primary surface
gives the worker the option of facing outbound or toward the
middle, as well as inbound. Many workers feel more comfortable
facing outward so they don't have their backs to the office
doorway. Facing outward can create a feeling of security as
well as connection with the environment outside the workstation.
Zone Logic. The elements of a My Studio office are
designed to wrap around the person so that the tools and materials
they use most are within easy reach. Four zones surrounding
the person support different aspects of the knowledge-work
process. My Studio components are designed specifically for
each zone.
The Create Zone features the large, contoured primary
work surface, a spacious area to spread out work.
The Display Zone is along the center wall; components
like an easel, bookcase, and tackable surface keep important
items in view and in reach.
The Organize Zone is a space to store, stage, and
organize materials; it can feature a secondary work surface,
closet, and bookcase or bookshelf, as well as Meridian
filing and storage.
The Filter Zone faces the aisle and has a door
to close off distractions or allow accessibility. |
Permeable Privacy. My Studio
has translucent glass shutters that work like sliding windows,
giving workers control over their level of privacy. Opening
the shutters makes the office feel larger and lets people collaborate
with neighbors. Closing the shutters and door creates a private
office for solitary work.
