The Good Design Challenge

GoodDesign-01

Together with Herman Miller, Continental Office recently hosted a creative competition centered around the esteemed designer duo Charles and Ray Eames.

The Good Design Challenge was showcased at the Columbus Museum of Art 20th Century Design Market, where participating designers were provided with a classic Eames Molded Plastic Chair and challenged to use the chair as a canvas for their own self-expression. Each chair was then placed in an exhibit and revealed at Mod Night, the opening evening for the 20CDM. Teams submitted an inspiration statement along with their chair, explaining their ideas and offering context to their design.

After remaining on display through the following week, the exhibit relocated to The Center for Architecture and Design, and will remain on display through October 31st.

Chairs are available for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the Center for Creativity at the Columbus Museum of Art.

We would like to extend a warm thank you to all participating firms. Your creative genius is paving the way for the artists of tomorrow, and we simply love your spirit, spunk, and right-brained brilliance.
